OPERATIONAL ZONE
Veenyela Foundation has over the years been working collaboratively with district and subdistrict health and Agricultural departments in the conduct and implementation of research in Northern Ghana. Consequently, the organization is familiar with the geographical terrain and has established contacts in many communities through implementation of project and research activities. The organization currently operates in the five regions of northern Ghana (Upper East, North East, Northern, Upper West, and Savannah). However, the organization can work in any part of Ghana.

Overall Aim
Our overall aim is to design, implement and evaluate interventions in the thematic areas of food and nutrition security, promotion of livelihoods among the vulnerable, enhancing maternal & child health outcomes and gender equality in Ghana.
To achieve its aim, Veenyela Foundation has the following specific objectives:

To promote the cultivation and consumption of nutrition sensitive crops using climate smart agriculture and good agronomic practices.

To promote access to livelihood sources including income generation opportunities through training and establishment of agro-processing income-generating plants (e.g groundnut oil and paste, shea butter, soya-bean, gari).

To equip the youth and women with necessary practical skills, knowledge for enhanced access to agricultural financial services and capital to engage in sustainable high-value crop production.

Conduct implementation research for generating critical information for understanding context, assessing performance, and informing implementation of systems in the food, nutrition and health sectors.
